EN 14399-1: 2015 is an international standard for high strength structural bolts. High strength structural bolts are especially used in steel constructions like bridges, cranes, piling rigs, harbour cranes and windmills.
European production
In Germany there are three leading manufacurers of high strength structural bolts in the K class K1: Fuchs, Friedberg and Peiner. In the technical field Fuchs, Friedberg and Peiner work together to produce high strength structural bolts of the highest quality in the world. These bolts can be recognized by the lot numbers in the head markings of the bolts and nuts, enabling product certificates to be traced even years later.
After production the bolts are hot dip galvanized according to the DSV-GAV guideline, in order to protect these strong bolts against rust.
Besides, the nut gets a coating, resulting in a dark colour. This coating guarantees a constant friction coefficient, enabling to reach the correct pre-tension.
Fuchs
For years we have worked together with Fuchs which is, just like Kobout, a family business. Since quite some time we have had the desire to intensify the co-operation. That is why Kobout has started being the official dealer for Fuchs in the Benelux countries since June 2023.
Kobout can deliver from stock a wide range of Fuchs high strength structural bolts, along with EN 15048 bolts and nuts!
