Cees Bijkerk celebrates 40 years at Kobout
This week, we celebrated a very special milestone: Cees Bijkerk has been with Kobout for 40 years. An achievement we could not let pass unnoticed!
Cees joined Kobout as a sales representative on 1 September 1986, when the company was still based in Krimpen aan den IJssel. It was a different time: sales representatives had two telephones on their desks. Customers called on one line, while the other was used to contact suppliers throughout Europe. Sales and purchasing at the same time—that was how things worked in 1986.
It was not long before Cees was asked to manage his own sales team. Step by step, other Dutch sales teams were added to his responsibilities, followed eventually by the export team. As a member of the management team, Cees has made an invaluable contribution to Kobout’s development over the years.
Cees is also a highly valued member of the team. Warm and genuinely committed, he is a well-liked colleague and a true relationship builder who understands that good business starts with strong relationships.
Cees, thank you for 40 years of dedication, expertise and commitment. Here’s to many more great years together!
