Kobout acquires Steveld activities

As of January 1, Kobout has acquired the activities of Steveld. The acquisition includes its operations, inventory, suppliers, customer portfolio, and expertise. With this step, Kobout ensures continuity for Steveld’s customers and partners while further strengthening its position in lpre-lubricated fasteners.
The reason for the acquisition is the upcoming departure of owner Stephan van der Velden, who will be emigrating to Kenya. He was looking for a reliable partner to entrust his customers and relationships to, and found in Kobout a company that shares a similar vision on quality, service, and collaboration.
For Kobout, Steveld is a natural fit with its existing operations. Kobout has been a leading player in lubrication fasteners for many years, the exact specialization in which Steveld is active. The acquisition therefore represents a strengthening of expertise and offering.
For Steveld’s customers, little will change. Service, quality, and delivery reliability remain guaranteed. Customers will now be served through Kobout, with Stephan van der Velden remaining involved to ensure his knowledge and experience remain available.
The transition also brings clear advantages. Customers gain access to a broader and deeper product range, benefit from increased technical support, and enjoy improved product availability.
Joost Kunst, Managing Director of Kobout, explains:
“We are pleased to realize this expansion. The way Steveld works with customers and suppliers aligns perfectly with Kobout’s philosophy. This acquisition is a valuable strengthening of our position in the industrial market.”
Stephan van der Velden also looks ahead with confidence:
“It feels right to transfer Steveld’s customers and suppliers to a trusted partner. I do so with peace of mind and full confidence that they are in good hands with Kobout.”
With this acquisition, Kobout reinforces its focus on long-term relationships, technical expertise, and reliable service, now and in the future.
