Kobout extends stock with bolts DIN 931/DIN 933/DIN 912 quality 10.9!
Kobout has extended its stock items with the segment of 10.9 bolts. From now on we have enough stock of these bolts in the common sizes M 6 – M 24, both in zinc-plated and in self-colour.
Hex bolts (DIN 931) and hex sets (DIN 933) in quality 10.9 are often used in pretension constructions. Further on, in automotive industry, mechanical engineering and agricultural machine engineering many bolts in these quality are used.
Socket screws are applied in places where processing with a wrench or spanner is not possible. These bolts are also used in places where no angular part should occur, due to safety or other reasons.
What does 10.9 mean?
The first number, 10, stands for 1% of the tensile strength in NN/m2 and the second number, 9, indicates the 0.2% yield strength as a percentage of the tensile strength, in this case 90%.
The nominal tensile strength of steel quality 10.9 is 1,000 N/mm2 and the 0.2% yield strength is 900 N/mm2. The minimal values of both are (see ISO 898-1) 1,040 N/mm2 and 940 N/mm2 respectively.
Kobout now has over 250 different sizes of 10.9 hex bolts, hex sets and socket screws extra ex stock. This allows you, our customer, to get better prices and shorter delivery times.
